All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi says that in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, if the opposition puts up any one face against PM Modi, it can benefit the BJP. During a conversation with ANI, the AIMIM chief said that the opposition will have to unite in every Lok Sabha to defeat the BJP.
Asaduddin Owaisi said that the opposition will have to give a tough fight to the BJP on all 540 Lok Sabha seats, if any one face of the opposition will fight with the BJP, it will definitely benefit the BJP. Owaisi said that if there is Modi vs Arvind Kejriwal or Rahul Gandhi, it will benefit the Prime Minister.
Let us tell you that about one and a half year is left for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, but political parties have already started preparing for the elections. Many leaders from the opposition are beating the beat to compete with PM Modi. Recently, the Aam Aadmi Party had claimed that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections would be PM Modi vs Arvind Kejriwal. The AAP claimed that the BJP was nervous about the growing popularity of the Aam Aadmi Party.
Apart from Arvind Kejriwal, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is also showing great activism for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This can be gauged from the fact that he has changed the name of his party Telangana Rashtra Samithi to Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
When Owaisi was asked whether West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee would be the face of the opposition? So AIMIM Chief said that ‘Mamata Banerjee has recently held a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in such a situation she will be the face of opposition against PM Modi, nothing can be said about it’. Owaisi also said that ‘Mamata Banerjee had passed a resolution against BJP in Parliament but later she started praising PM Modi’.
It is noteworthy that last week, senior Congress leader Kamal Nath had said that in 2024, Rahul Gandhi would be the face of the opposition for the post of PM. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar had also said that he has no problem with making Rahul Gandhi the face of the opposition for the post of PM.
