The army and the government have taken a big step amid the raging tension from China. The Defense Acquisition Council has approved the Acceptance of Requirement (AON) for three capital acquisition proposals. The Ministry of Defense has given information about this. The ministry informed that this includes two proposals for the Indian Army and one for the Indian Navy. The value of these three capital acquisition proposals is Rs 4,276 crore.

Defense Acquisition Council (DAC) has approved AoN for procurement of HELINA Anti-Tank Guided Missile, Launcher and associated accessories. The Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) will be equipped with these equipment. The Ministry of Defense has said that its induction will strengthen the offensive capability of the Indian Army.

In addition, the Defense Acquisition Council has approved the procurement of VShorad (IR Homing) missile system designed and developed by DRDO.

The Defense Ministry informed that a proposal for the Navy has also been approved by the Defense Acquisition Council (DAC). Under this, BrahMos Launcher and Fire Control System (FCS) will be procured for Shivalik class ships and Next Generation Missile Vessels (NGMV) for the Indian Navy.
