Box Office Collection Day 1: Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar’s lockdown drama was released across the cinema halls on 24 March. The most awaited film ‘Bheed’ starring Anubhav Sinha is the story of the time when migrant workers were stuck in the lockdown and trying to get out. The film ‘Bheed’ not only brought back the pain and struggle of the Covid pandemic, but the film got embroiled in controversy for associating the time with the Partition of India. Even after receiving positive reviews from fans and critics, the film ‘Bheed’ has opened to meager numbers. However, it is expected to earn more in the coming days.

According to Box Office India, “Talking about the collection, there is nothing special, according to the budget of the film, the film’s earnings are very less. After watching the trailer, it was felt that maybe the film is also going to be amazing. The film is black and white. But compared to the budget, the earning was not that good.At the box office, the film ‘Bheed’ managed to collect only 15 crores in India on the first day.

Talking about the film, director Anubhav shares, “The rush is the story of the most dangerous times that turned human lives in a jiffy. The main objective of shooting the film in black and white was to show that India’s lockdown How were the scenes of social inequality during 1947. The film is very similar to what people faced during the partition of India in 1947. This story is about people whose lives changed in a flash and their colors were lost then When the border was drawn within the country.

The movie ‘Bheed’ stars Rajkumar Rao, Pankaj Kapur, Bhumi Pednekar, Ashutosh Rana and Dia Mirza. The film also stars Virendra Saxena, Aditya Srivastava, Kritika Kamra and Karan Pandit. The film was released in theaters on 24 March 2023.
