Funerals are taking place in many places across the country amid rising cases of corona infection in China, while the Chinese Communist authorities have put the death toll from Kovid-19 at a little over 5,000. According to a report in NDT, a doctor at a hospital here was asked not to mention Covid-19 as the primary cause of death of a patient. The report pointed out that Chinese doctors have been asked to avoid listing COVID-19 as the cause of death.
In fact, in China, only those people who die after respiratory failure due to this infection are counted as deaths from corona. But now pressure is being created not to register the death due to this failure in Corona. It urged doctors not to try to prescribe respiratory failure due to Covid as the primary cause of death. The doctors said it was unclear whether the message was shared internally or if they received it from government officials.
But a warning circulated on Chinese social media urges doctors not to carelessly write COVID on death certificates. Meanwhile, the WHO has accused China of hiding the figures of patients admitted to hospitals, deaths from corona.
