Delhi: Government Imposes Ban On Bs-3 Petrol And Bs-4 Diesel Vehicles, Ban Will Continue From Tomorrow Till Friday

The Delhi government has issued an order banning BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel cars in the capital from Tuesday in view of rising pollution levels. This ban will be applicable from Tuesday to Friday.

air quality recorded in severe category
Delhi’s air quality slipped to the severe category on Monday due to slow wind speed and low temperature. In view of this, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) directed all NCR states to implement anti-pollution measures more strictly.

Ban can be removed even before
The transport official said that in view of the increased pollution level in Delhi, it has been decided to keep the ban till Friday. Meanwhile, if the air quality improves, the ban may be lifted even before Friday.

Slight improvement in pollution level was recorded on Sunday
According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the pollution index in Delhi decreased by six points to 377 on Sunday. Except Greater Noida (402) of NCR, the index of Bahadurgarh, Ballabhgarh, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Noida, Gurugram remained low. It is forecast that Delhi’s pollution level may remain in the very to very poor category for the next five days.
