Chennai Super Kings, playing on home ground for almost four years, made a tremendous comeback at Chepauk Stadium. After losing the first match against Gujarat Titans, Chennai defeated Lucknow Supergiants by 12 runs in their second match. Thanks to the stormy innings of Rituraj Gaikwad and Devon Conway, Chennai had scored 217 runs. In reply, the Lucknow team could score only 205 runs. Though the match took place between teams captained by Dhoni and Rahul, social media trolls turned Lucknow Supergiants mentor Gautam Gambhir.
