A major accident took place in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. A woman and her two-and-a-half-year-old son died tragically when a pillar of an under-construction Metro fell on the Outer Ring Road here. According to the police, the incident took place around 11 am when the TMT rebar used for the construction of the pillar fell on his scooter. The height of the pillar is said to be more than 40 feet and the weight is several tonnes. The people around immediately took the dead to the nearest hospital. Police said they have registered a case and further investigation will be done. Due to this incident, there was a jam on the road for some time.
