When it comes to the VMAs, you really never know what wild looks celebrities will walk the red carpet wearing.
Sometimes these red carpet looks are original and other times, celebrities take style inspiration from each other.
At this year’s VMAs red carpet, Lil Nas X showed up and showed out with his amazing feathered ensemble.
The “Montero” singer wore an all-black look that consisted of a tiered overskirt and a matching headpiece with thousands of feathers.
According to Glamour, the extravagant feathered headpiece was courtesy of British-American designer Harris Reed.
It seems that Lil Nas X’s VMAs look was seemingly inspired by supermodel Iman’s 2021 Met Gala ensemble — which was actually the gold version made by the same designer.
Both looks had tiered overskirts and large headpieces. The only difference was the color and that Lil Nas X went shirtless whereas Iman wore a bodice.
