One person was killed and 57 others were injured when two trains collided on Metro Line 3 in Mexico City on Saturday. El Universal gave this information citing the head of the government of Mexico City Claudia Sheinbaum. The incident between the metro trains happened between La Raza and Potrero stations. Addressing a press conference, Claudia Sheinbaum expressed solidarity with those receiving treatment in hospitals and the families of the young woman who died in the train collision, according to Mexico-based newspaper El Universal.
According to Sheinbaum, the driver of the train is in the most serious condition among the injured. According to the report of El Universal, four people trapped in the train were rescued and admitted to the hospital. Giving details of the incident in a tweet, Claudia said that the accident occurred between trains on Metro Line 3 and emergency services on site.
