In Madhya Pradesh, the Chief Minister has started a helpline call center facility 181 for the general public in order to bring transparency in government work and to make citizens not have to go around babus to get benefits of government facilities. But this facility has become a dilemma for the common man due to the arbitrary attitude of the autocratic administrative officers. The latest case is of Khandwa district of the state, where the district administration has now resorted to atrocities to withdraw a complaint made on the CM helpline. For not withdrawing the complaint made in Call Center 181 here, his grandson was sent to jail in front of Nani. The woman Naib Tehsildar has been accused of sending the youth to jail. The young man’s grandmother says that the woman Naib Tehsildar called the police and put her grandson behind bars.

this was the whole incident

The husband of 70-year-old Geetabai, a resident of village Rohani in Khandwa district, has died. Along with the pension, the elderly woman was also getting the amount of Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana. But he got the amount of Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana only twice. After this the money stopped getting deposited in his bank account. When the elderly woman did not get the benefit of the scheme for about two years, she met the Sarpanch and Patwari of the village along with her nephew Shubham. Patwari had asked the woman to get Aadhaar updated by doing Aadhaar e-KYC, after which she was circling the Aadhaar center for about two months. Aadhaar of the elderly woman was not being updated due to non-availability of thumb impression in the machine at the Aadhaar center. Distressed by this, the woman had complained on CM Helpline 181. Due to this complaint, the elderly woman was called to the Tehsil office Khandwa at the district headquarters on Friday. Where she reached with her nephew Shubham Rajput. Geetabai told that she appeared in the court of Naib Tehsildar Mala Rai along with Navase Shubham. Here he was told to withdraw the complaint. But he and his nephew refused to withdraw the complaint without getting their Aadhaar cards updated. The woman alleges that the Naib Tehsildar threatened her that if she did not withdraw the complaint, she would be jailed. Even after that he did not withdraw the complaint. Shortly after this, the police were called and his nephew Shubham was sent to jail.

The youth was released from jail in the evening

According to the woman, her nephew Shubham Rajput was locked up in Khandwa jail by the police. But the elderly grandmother kept sitting in the tehsil office waiting for him to come back. Meanwhile, Sunil Jalkhare, one of his relatives living in the city, came to know about it and he also reached Khandwa Tehsil office. Elder Geetabai informed him about the whole matter. However, Shubham was released from jail at around seven in the evening. Shubham told that it was his fault that his grandmother had not withdrawn the complaint made on 181. For this he was sent to jail by Naib Tehsildar and unnecessary action was taken against him.

Unnecessary allegations being made – Naib Tehsildar

Here Naib Tehsildar Mala Rai says that there is no such thing as sending the person to jail by pressurizing them to withdraw the complaint in the CM helpline. Unnecessary allegations are being made. Geetabai was called to resolve the complaint. Geeta Bai did not meet me, she was outside. His grandson Shubham came to the court. He was given information regarding Aadhaar update in e-Kevasi. He was also explained but he started arguing making noise. Because of this he was sent to jail while taking preventive action under section 151.
