The trailer of Bollywood’s powerful actress Radhika Apte’s much awaited film ‘Mrs Undercover’ has been released. The trailer of the film has received a great response from the audience on social media. Sumeet Vyas, Rajesh Sharma and Saheb Chatterjee will be seen in the lead roles in this film along with Radhika Apte. The film ‘Mrs Undercover’ will be released on G5 on 14 April. Radhika Apte’s character name is Durga who is a former undercover agent and currently a housewife. But suddenly after ten years he is called back on duty.
Durga is a simple housewife
Talking about her character in the film, Radhika Apte said, ‘Mrs Undercover’ is special for me for many reasons. I fell in love with my character in the very first story of this detective comedy film. Durga is funny, kind, honest, she is also clumsy and unsure of herself and this film is a journey of discovering her own strength.’ Radhika said that every woman will relate to her on-screen character Durga as it is the story of every Grihini (housewife) who gives up her career dreams for the family.

Radhika said that there is a Durga in every household, a woman who silently does her job and doesn’t get her due as she is considered ‘just’ a housewife. The film fights the mindset that prevails in our patriarchal society, and has done it beautifully under the guise of humour. Directed and written by director Anushree Mehta, ‘Mrs Undercover’ stars Radhika Apte in the lead role. It also stars Sumeet Vyas, Rajesh Sharma and Saheb Chatterjee.
