Tottenham Manager Antonio Conte said surgery to remove his gallbladder had “gone well” on Wednesday.
Conte fell ill this week and returned with the diagnosis being cholecystitis requiring surgery. He would spend time away from the club recovering from the operation and before returning.

“Thank you for all your lovely messages, my surgery went well and I’m feeling better than ever,” Conte said in a post on Instagram.
He wrote, “Now is the time to recover, I can’t wait to get back on the field with the team.”
An earlier statement from Spurs said: “Antonio Conte has recently been unwell with severe abdominal pain.
“After being diagnosed with cholecystitis, he will have surgery to remove his gallbladder today and will return after a period of recuperation. Everyone at the club wishes him well.”
Tottenham’s next match is at home Manchester City before traveling on 5th February leicester city On 11 February. The club is yet to confirm who will take charge of the game this Sunday.
Conte will take charge of Tottenham in November 2021 following the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo. He led them to the Champions League in his first season.
The term sees Tottenham in fifth place and still in the FA Cup, having beaten Preston 3-0 on Saturday. They will also face traveling AC Milan in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie on February 14.
