On the arrest warrant of the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia said in its statement that it has no meaning for it from a legal point of view. Because he withdrew from the ICC treaty in 2016. The ICC has issued an arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin over the Ukraine war. The ICC said, this warrant has been issued for Putin’s involvement in the kidnapping of children from Ukraine.
The court said Putin is responsible for war crimes. He is allegedly responsible for the illegal displacement of children and their illegal transfer from the occupied Ukrainian territory to Russian territories. The ICC has also issued a warrant against Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, Commissioner for Child Rights in the Office of the Russian President, on the same charge. At the same time, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said, Russia is not a member of the ICC. This decision doesn’t matter to us.
